Each year in June, we take everyone who cares to go for a visit to the Botanical Gardens in Wichita, Ks. The residents look forward to this trip all year. |

In the fall, employees put on a Halloween carnival, which raises money to pay for the trip.

Another favorite is the annual outing to the Harper County Fair! |

|
Fishing at the Anthony Lake is an outing enjoyed by young and old alike. Someone always comes back with a good "fish story". |
| The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Anthony gives us a chance to see something really awesome! If we are brave enough, we may even take a ride! |

In September 2002, we held our first annual Luau ... complete with barbequed pork and authentic south pacific fire dancing. | |

| We are almost famous for our floats, which we decorate and ride in the town's parades. During 2001, we entered three parades, and had the best float in each one. Below we are riding in the Veteran's Day Parade on September 11th. | ||

| We enjoy monthly barbeques during the spring and summer. To celebrate Thanksgiving, residents and their families are treated to a traditional banquet, served by ACCC staff. Both families and residents brag about the food, the decorations and the service. Crafts are a big part of the activity program. We have made most of the decorations hanging in our facility. Our residents love seeing their handiwork adorning the walls. |
| We are blessed with many volunteers, from church and bible lessons, to musical programs and plays by school children. Sometimes the music makes us want to dance! |

We have a new program for our less cognitive residents. They bake,
iron, fold, play cards, or whatever they feel like doing in our "Busy Life
Room".
Our Relaxation Station is a room where residents can lounge in a heated massage chair surrounded by soft music, flowing lights, and stars hanging from the ceiling. Total Relaxation! |

"Chef Jim" dons his coat and hat on Thursdays and prepares special order omelets for residents and staff. |
| Santa and his favorite elf stops by each year bringing presents and good cheer. Best of all, it gives us a reason to celebrate the wonder of Christmas! | |

We also believe in pampering our residents whenever we can. Weekly
paraffin dips, muscle stimulator therapy, sensory therapy and a busy life room
are just a few of our projects. Come out and see what we are doing this week. |
